Just Another Manic Monday, and the Rest of My Sunday

great, now that song’s stuck in my head….

Anyway, I hope all of you are enjoying this lovely Monday morning (except, what monday is really lovely, unless you have off?). I hope at least some of you have this day off. I am lucky enough to have the day off but it’s chock full of errands and activities so I’m up at usual Monday 6am time. Let me catch you up on the rest of my night last night night.

Dinner: 6pm

For dinner, I enjoyed some delicious roast beef with a roast potato, asparagus, mushrooms and a crunchy French roll. I went back for another slice of roast beef and some fruit salad (unpictured).

Delicious! In fact, because dinner was so satisfying, I didn’t feel the need for a snack last night. Of course, I had the craving, but because I’ve been practicing my intuitive eating and listening to my body, I realized I was going for my snack out of habit and decided I didn’t need it. Instead, I made some decaf tea, watch the latest episode of Girls, read a little, and went to bed!photo 2 copy 4

Nice, relaxing, Sunday. How was yours?

Also, I realized I forgot to look at my workout goals for the week from last week and create my goals for this week, so here they are:

Weekly Exercise Goals (Monday, February 11th-Sunday, February 17th):

Monday: 2 mile run and TRX class  TRX was canceled so I came up with my Tone It Up Circuit  and did that instead

Tuesday: Spin Class Check!

Wednesday: Circuit Training & Butts & Guts Check!

Thursday: Spin Class I realized due to an earlier start time, I could take my favorite Cardio Kick-Boxing class, so I obviously did that instead 😉

Friday: Circuit Training Check! &&& I went to a Spin Class

Saturday: Rest Excelled at this 🙂

Sunday: Hot Yoga and /or Circuit Training I was a in a dancing mood so I did my muscle workout and went to Zumba

Ok, so even though I didn’t hit my exact goals, I think I did pretty well!

Here are my goals for this week:

a slice of Arnold’s whole wheat bakery light bread with peanut butter, half a small banana and cinnamon with the other half of the small banana on the side. Also, with an iced coffee, of course

After the gym, I’m off to have brunch with my newly engaged friend(!!!!) to get all the details. I’ll check in with you later this afternoon!

Questions of the day:

Do you plan your exercises weekly? If so, what are you goals?

Are you off today? If so, what are your plans?

The Rest of My Saturday

Hello, Blogland!

I hope you all are out enjoying your saturday night. I’m being lame and am reading in bed about to pass out. That 6am wake up call on a Saturday really did me in. Normally I’m fine waking up that early but that means I need to be in bed by 9pm so it’s already past my bedtime!

I had a nice evening though. I went out to dinner with an old friend and we caught up over Mexican. I enjoyed a glass of red sangria and ordered the chicken fajita platter with whole wheat tortillas. I snacked on some chips and guacamole while we waited for our food.

Dinner: 7pm

(no picture because I left my phone in the car!)

I ate most of my two tortillas and all the chicken and veggies but left the rice refried beans. I definitely didn’t need the second tortilla at all but it was sitting in front of my and I’m a bread-a-holic.

After coming home, I caught up on some cleaning and then watched one of my DVR’ed tv shows, Once Upon a Time, with a cup of decaf tea.

Around 10pm my tummy started to growl and I couldn’t shake my craving for pizza. So I ate one of the leftover pieces from last night’s dinner.

Snack: 10:15pm

Sooooo, clearly not my best day of eats. My carboholic is showing… But, as part of my recovery, I’m not beating myself about food anymore. I will try and eat a little less bread tomorrow but I’m no longer categorizing food as good and bad. I told this to myself right after I finished my snack and I think it helped me stop a binge in its’ tracks. Usually eating a “bad food” like pizza so late at night would have sent me right into my freezer for ice cream or into my cupboard for my Valentine’s Day treats. But, because food is just food and I was able to remind myself of that, I stopped after the pizza.

Small victories!

Questions of the evening:

Do you classify some foods as “bad”? What and why?

What are you favorite TV shows?
